AEI's one-of-a-kind continuing education program offers a convenient way to visit Costa Rica while earning CME, CLE, and CE credits at the same time. With coasts on both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, this paradise, one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, is the perfect destination for your continuing legal education.

While your mornings are occupied with CME in Costa Rica, your afternoons and evenings are free to explore.

If adventure is what you seek, this is the destination for you. After your morning of continuing education in Costa Rica, choose your adventure: whether it's kayaking, windsurfing, diving, snorkeling, rafting, hiking, climbing, horseback riding, or ziplining amidst the rainforest canopy, the rest of the day is free for exploration. When you return home, you can report on the new knowledge gained through CME in Costa Rica and the new skills practiced in your free time.

If you are looking for a more relaxed retreat, CE in Costa Rica also provides tropical beaches, birdwatching, golf, biking, and of course taking in the stunning landscape of rainforests, cloud forests, volcanoes, waterfalls, and more. Don’t forget to partake of the local culture and meet the friendly residents.

Visit Costa Rica for your 2023 CME.

Presentation Format

Destination-based, Remote Classroom

AEI’s new and unique Destination-based, Remote Classroom is designed to mimic the format and learning environment of AEI’s traditional, physical classroom. As before you will participate from the destination to which you’ve chosen to travel (within a 30 mile radius to be precise) during scheduled lecture hours. But, instead of viewing the course in the company of only those registered for the same destination that same week, you’ll now attend in the virtual and interactive company of everyone registered for any classroom operating in the same time zone. This dramatically increases your opportunity for dialogue with other practitioners and, better still, lets you do so on your laptop or tablet from the safety and comfort of your hotel room or condominium.  Total COVID-safety, comfort, convenience and the opportunity for dialogue with many more colleagues from a variety of professional disciplines. Now you understand why we keep saying, “the best way to mix business with pleasure just got better.”
