How do AEI Destination-Based Courses work?
AEI Destination-Based Courses combine scheduled daily lecture hours with the flexibility of learning from one of our premier destinations.
Participants attend lectures digitally alongside other registered attendees while having the time to enjoy their destination outside of class hours.
What is AEI Membership?
AEI Membership is an annual continuing education membership that combines On-Demand learning, accredited CME/CLE/CE, travel savings, journal subscriptions, and exclusive member benefits into one flexible experience.
What is included in the AEI On-Demand library?
The AEI On-Demand library includes 500+ hours of accredited CME/CLE/CE, AEI lectures, NEJM and JAMA educational resources, the AEI Financial Intelligence Series, and additional member-exclusive programming.
Do I have to attend at specific times?
Yes. Destination-Based Courses include scheduled lecture hours each day, and participants are required to attend during those designated times.
What’s the difference between Silver and Gold?
Silver Membership includes AEI’s full On-Demand learning library, NEJM & JAMA subscriptions, travel savings, cash vouchers, and additional member benefits.
Gold Membership includes everything in Silver, plus one annual Destination-Based Course.
Do I need to travel to earn credit?
No. Members may earn eligible credits entirely through AEI’s On-Demand learning platform without attending a Destination-Based Course.
Do I need a membership to enroll in Destination-Based Courses?
No. Professionals may still enroll in individual Destination-Based Courses without a membership.
AEI Membership simply provides additional learning access, travel savings, and exclusive member benefits year-round.
Can I choose any destination and date?
Yes. Participants may choose any AEI destination and begin on any day of the week, during any week of the year.
Is the On-Demand library included in every membership tier?
Yes. The full AEI On-Demand learning library is included with both Silver and Gold Memberships.
How fast are new courses added to the library?
New lectures and educational resources are added throughout the year. AEI programming expands regularly, while NEJM and JAMA educational content may refresh as frequently as weekly.
Do I have to begin an AEI course on a specific day of the week?
No - You can start any day of the week.
5-Day Courses
Our 5-Day Courses are designed to offer 5 unique days of content, each day Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday will repeat the content streamed on Tuesday and Wednesday. See the table below.
Starting on a Monday or a Thursday will allow you to complete the course in the shortest period of time (5 consecutive days). Any other start day will add one or two rest days to your schedule.
2-Day Courses
Our 2-day course are designed to easily add on to the end of your 5-day course. The courses run every day of the week except Monday. Day 1 content streams Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday while Day 2 content streams Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
Can I really use the travel perks for personal trips?
Yes. AEI Membership travel benefits may be used for both personal and professional travel, whether or not you’re attending an AEI course.
Can I stream on mobile, tablet, and TV apps?
Yes. AEI On-Demand learning may be accessed across desktop, mobile, tablet, and compatible smart TV devices.
Are Destination-Based Courses live or prerecorded?
Destination-Based Courses are live, scheduled digital classroom experiences attended alongside other registered participants during designated lecture hours.
How do I redeem the NEJM and JAMA subscriptions?
Eligible members may redeem their subscriptions directly through the AEI Member Portal after membership activation.
What credentials does AEI accredit for?
AEI provides accredited CME, CLE, CPE, and CE for a wide range of licensed professionals including physicians, dentists, attorneys, accountants, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers.
Are AEI courses accredited?
Yes. AEI courses are accredited and approved through nationally recognized accrediting organizations including ACCME, ADA CERP, and other profession-specific accrediting bodies depending on the course.
Each course page includes detailed accreditation information, approved credit hours, and applicable professions.
How are your CME/CLE/CE credits earned?
CME/CLE/CE credits are earned by attending scheduled lecture hours during Destination-Based Courses or by completing eligible On-Demand learning activities included with select AEI Memberships. Participants receive certificates of completion and applicable accreditation documentation upon successfully meeting course requirements.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes. You may cancel your membership at any time. However, memberships are non-refundable, as members receive immediate access to learning resources, travel benefits, subscriptions, and other included perks upon activation.
How are credits reported to my licensing board?
AEI provides certificates of completion and all applicable accreditation documentation after course requirements are successfully completed.
Participants are responsible for submitting credits to their individual licensing board or reporting system when required. Some accrediting organizations may support automated reporting for eligible professions and activities.
