American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Certification
As AEI is an ACCME-accredited provider, The 2024–2025 Medical-Dental-Legal Update qualifies for up to 20 Formally Approved Category 1 Continuing Education Hours for the purposes of ANCC certification.
AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ are also accepted by:
- American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB – Contact hours)
- American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)

Physician Assistance Requirements
The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) accepts Category 1 CME approval from organizations accredited by the ACCME to grant Category 1 credits towards the AMA Physician Recognition Awards. Physician Assistants applying for credit for The 2024–2025 Medical-Dental-Legal Update will receive a certificate granting the earned number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) accepts AMA PRA CME Category 1 credits toward its credit requirements.
