He is past president of both American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation and American College of Sports Medicine. Currently he serves on the Board of the American Society for Preventative Cardiology.
Dr. Franklin is past editor in chief of the Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and Prevention and currently serves on the editorial boards of 15 other journals. He has written or edited more than 700 scientific and clinical publications, including 103 book chapters and 27 books including his latest, “GPS for Success: Skills, Strategies and Secrets of Superachievers” which can be ordered at www.DrBarryFranklin.com. Mr. Cox has held executive positions with a large medical center, a major medical malpractice insurance company, and multiple insurance agencies before starting Bluewater Solutions in 2009. Mr. Cox has a B.S. in Health Education, has done graduate work in Public Health, and earned his Associate in Risk Management designation from the Insurance Institute of America.
